An amateurish photo of yourself on your LinkedIn profile page will not help you much.
Readers judge visually and a poor quality photo will make you look less that professional.
I don’t agree with what LinkedIn advocated the other day on their blog.
In my coaching and training sessions I advise you to go get a headshot taken. Don’t Photoshop or crop an existing photo.
Now I can also advise against #workselfies.
One caveat: if your professional photographer can take a headshot showing you in action, that’s great!
I have lots of examples, so just ask me to direct you to some of them.
